Over The Years
1983 - The Antica Officina del Farmacista
The Antica Officina del Farmacista in Florence, founded by Paolo Vranjes, opens its doors in 1983. Dr. Vranjes' well-known scents are eventually born there, developed through the his exquisite hands-on, intuitive method and creative experimentation.
1999 - Creation of Rosso Nobile
Dr. Vranjes Philosophy of designing memory inducing aroma experiences is embodied here by one of their most famous products, the Rosso Nobile. The origin is inspired by Paolo's close friend, a man passionate about winemaking and convinced that no one could recreate the scent of red wine. With Rosso Nobile, Paolo not only changed his friends mind, he also told the world of perfumery that he is setting a new bar for the creation of ambient fragrances.
2010 - Dr. Vranjes Firenze
The apex of beauty and the heart of modern fragrance, Florence has always been a vital part of our story. To further honour the bond to the city, the brand decided to change their logo and name, becoming Dr. Vranjes Firenze.

Dr. Paolo Vranjes has always been fascinated by the power of scent. Growing up among the fabrics and perfumes of his grandfather’s trade, he recalls, “I was captivated by this world made of precious transparent bottles, containing rare and exciting aromas. I really wanted to know all their secrets.”
Following his curiosity, Paolo pursued studies in chemistry, pharmacy, and cosmetology. He designs meaningful aromatic experiences for home fragrances. By exploring the very questions he wondered as a boy: “Where do scents come from? What makes them so special? Why does mixing them together produce something new and magical every time?”
Fueled by his passionate experimentation, the company is dedicated to perfecting the art of immersive perfumery using the precision of science and the essence of memory. Each of the blends is masterfully formulated, resulting in a suite of original fragrances that evoke luxury, comfort, relaxation and above all, the emotional connection that calls upon memories.

The supply chain is mainly centered in the Tuscany region around Florence, allowing Dr Vranjes to keep the environmental impact low. Working with local artisans to produce glass cast bottles that are both beautiful and durable. Used with a refill system, this ensures the longevity of our products. At every step, we select materials and shape processes to meet their high standards for quality and sustainability, being mindful not only of what they create, but how they create it.
