Key Responsibilities
Purchasing
- Place purchase orders with key vendors and suppliers across North America.
- Confirm product availability, lead times, and pricing; follow up proactively to prevent delays.
- Maintain accurate records of all POs, acknowledgments, and delivery timelines.
- Flag stock issues, backorders, discontinued items, or shipment discrepancies.
- Serve as a critical link between the warehouse, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure products arrive correctly and on schedule.
Order Management
- Accurately enter, track, and manage customer orders from receipt through fulfillment.
- Verify all order details for completeness, pricing accuracy, and compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with sales, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure smooth, timely order processing.
Logistics Coordination
- Arrange and monitor shipments to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
- Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and customers to resolve delivery or shipping issues.
- Optimize transportation methods and routes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- File claims and manage lost or damaged package investigations with courier partners.
Excel & Data Analysis
- Use Excel to maintain detailed dashboards and reports on orders, inventory, and logistics performance.
- Analyze data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or trends.
- Build tools, trackers, or automated processes to improve accuracy and workflow efficiency.
Problem-Solving + Process Improvement
- Troubleshoot operational challenges quickly and practically.
- Identify recurring issues and propose long-term solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within logistics, purchasing, and order-entry processes.
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros, advanced functions).
- Hands-on experience in logistics, purchasing, order fulfillment, or supply chain.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of duties, tariffs, and customs processes (asset).
- Exceptionally organized with a strong attention to detail.
- Effective communicator able to work across teams.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
